Discovering YOUR SELF WORTH

HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE SELF-WORTH ISSUES?

Do you constantly doubt yourself or lack confidence?

Do you overthink and over analyze EVERYTHING?

Do you worry about what others think?

Does it feel like nothing you do is ever good enough, no matter how hard you try?

If you answered yes to any of those questions then you might be struggling with anxiety and negative self-image. Welcome to perfectionist/never good enough club! It's not a fun party, and typically the cover to get in is to secretly live in fear and doubt while pretending you're totally fine on the outside. It's draining. It's exhausting. And it will suck the life out of you.

Many of us struggle with our self-image, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. Somewhere along the way, you picked up the message that you, just you exactly as you are, aren't enough. That often results in spending every ounce of energy we have striving to do/accomplish/produce/achieve enough of something to finally feel like I’ve earned my status as “good enough.” The problem with that is that it doesn’t work! And the reason it doesn’t work is because our status as “good enough” only comes from one place…inside. Until we can learn to love and accept ourselves as inherently worthy human beings, we will never stop running and never find peace within.

Perfectly Imperfect

I've been down this road and I know how hard it can be. As a fellow over-thinking, high-achieving, and insanely hard-working perfectionist, I feel your pain! But how do we get this way?

It's usually a long line of twisting influences that result from the way we're raised, the people we're around, and the experiences we have. I've spent a lot of my personal journey trying to learn how to let go of this idea of perfection and embrace how my imperfections make me a better and more interesting human. There's no need to trade in your humanity for robot status. I promise there's beauty in the mess. I'll help you find it.

REJUVENATE YOUR SELF ESTEEM

Even if you’re feeling lost now, I can help guide you in making lasting, positive changes in your life.

Counseling can help you to:

  • feel more confident

  • learn to actually like who you are and not be afraid to show it

  • find joy again

  • feel good about yourself

  • care less about what others think

If you are challenged by guilt, shame, and feelings of worthlessness and want to love yourself, reach out to me today. I'm here for you.

A LETTER FROM BEKA

I see you...

You wonderfully “normal” people who may be feeling not so normal in the quiet of your mind, late at night, when you lay your head on the pillow, wondering yet again “How did I get here? Is this really my life?"

I know that place is scary, maybe even so scary you're afraid to admit you're there, afraid to say it out loud.

You might be thinking:

What if things change? What if they don't?

Admitting it to someone else makes it real.

Asking for help makes me feel crazy and defected.

Trusting someone else is a risk, one I'm not sure I'm willing to take.

What will other people think?

What if it's too hard? What if I can't do it?

If any of that sounds familiar, I want you to know that you are perfectly NORMAL and that most of us find ourselves there at some point or another.

We get trapped on this merry-go-round in our heads and sometimes it can be impossible to get off without some outside help. There is nothing wrong with that! It simply means that it's time to acknowledge that what you're doing isn't working anymore.

It's time for something new.

If I can promise you anything, it's this... you don't have to do it alone. I know it's tempting and it often feels much safer that way. But the reality is we're not built to do life alone, and the longer you resist, the harder it is to receive help.

I see your suffering. I know it well. And I want you to know, it doesn't have to be that way. There is hope and joy and beauty in this world. Most of us just need help getting out of our own way in order to find it again.

I see you. I’ve been you. I want to help you. Let’s talk.
